Grupa Azoty S.A. is Poland’s largest chemical group, formed through the consolidation of the country’s leading chemical facilities and spanning Tarnów, Polic, Puławy and Kędzierzyn-Koźle, along with roughly fifty affiliated entities. Based in Tarnów in the Lesser Poland region, the company operates in chemical manufacturing and provides a broad portfolio for industrial use. Its product lines include fertilizers and various chemical materials, with leading positions in several categories: multi-component fertilizers, mineral fertilizers, sulfur-containing fertilizers and nitrogen fertilizers in Poland; polyamide 6, oxo alcohols and plasticizers, titanium dioxide and melamine. In the European Union, Grupa Azoty ranks second in mineral fertilizers and third in multi-component fertilizers, reflecting its scale within the region. The group is a sizable employer with a substantial workforce. In 2026, leadership changes included the appointment of Piotr Szajczyk as Vice President of the Management Board, effective June 1.
