Greengate was founded in 2005 by senior financial professionals with extensive backgrounds in project and structured finance.  Our offices are located in Washington, D.C.

To date, our firm has successfully completed assignments associated with a total value in excess of $100 billion. In addition, our principals have extensive relevant experience in leading a wide range of project and structured finance transactions prior to founding Greengate.

Greengate advises borrowers (project developers, sponsors and equity investors), lenders (government financing agencies, major banks and other financing institutions) and government clients (publicly owned or controlled entities).  Our experience on all sides of project and structured finance transactions provides us a unique perspective on how to maximize our clients' objectives with efficiency and effectiveness.

Greengate specializes in the debt component of project and structured financings.  Debt structure and terms are central features of a project finance transaction, from early stages of development through to financial close, disbursement and amortization.  A successful transaction requires a debt financing structure that is consistent with both the lender’s credit standards and the sponsor’s commercial and financial objectives – a combination that must be achieved in a dynamic context of complex assets, contractual arrangements and markets.
