The Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) is a regional nonprofit organization headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi. It serves a thirteen-state area extending from Texas and Oklahoma to the Carolinas, focusing on Jewish life in the Southern United States. Its mission is to support, connect, and celebrate Jewish life while working with neighbors to improve conditions in the South and beyond. ISJL collaborates with partners and communities to advance its mission, including a project with the Council of American Jewish Museums to record oral history interviews about being Jewish in the South during the COVID-19 era. It also partners with Kolami Tx to develop its religious school curriculum, reflecting its role in education and community engagement. In August 2023, the organization announced the appointment of Olivia Renata Zale as director of development.
