GoGoGrandparent operates in the wellness and fitness services sector, focusing on helping older adults remain healthy and independent at home. Its main offering allows seniors to request Lyft or Uber rides by calling a single number and choosing simple options, eliminating the need for a smartphone. An operator coordinates the ride, whether to the client’s home, to a previous drop-off location, or to speak with an operator for assistance. The service serves tens of thousands of people across the United States and has grown primarily through word of mouth. Based in San Francisco, California, the company employs a mid-sized workforce. It operates at the intersection of transportation and elder care, providing a non-smartphone pathway for seniors to access rides. A notable recent development is a partnership with Clinton County public transit and related counties to offer GoGoGrandparent services as part of state-supported, no-cost ride initiatives for older adults.
