Global Links is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit founded in 1989 that rescues surplus items from the U.S. healthcare system and redirects them to improve access to quality health services and essential medical materials for communities in need. It collaborates with government officials, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and local leaders to design projects that advance public health goals both internationally and domestically, redistributing items such as medical equipment in good condition, wound care supplies, and other essentials to support health outcomes where resources are scarce. In 2025, Global Links partnered with the Phillips Charitable Foundation to sponsor a drive-up diaper distribution event in Clairton, Pennsylvania, to assist local families experiencing financial hardship. It also works with local partners such as the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to provide diapers, shampoo, and other necessities to people receiving food assistance. Internationally, the organization has collaborated with entities including the United Nations and UNIDO to supply medical resources to underserved communities. Global Links operates as a mid-sized nonprofit focused on health and humanitarian aid.
