GLAD Law is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Boston, Massachusetts, founded in 1978. It pursues equal justice through strategic litigation, public policy advocacy, and education to eliminate discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation. Its work aims to influence legal standards and improve the day-to-day lives of LGBTQ+ and HIV+ people. Its GLAD Law Answers program offers a free, confidential legal information line for LGBTQ+ and HIV+ people across New England, providing information and resources to help them advocate for their rights, accessible online, by phone, or by email. In 2025, the organization announced the appointment of an Associate Counsel, Rovenger, who joined GLAD Law in April. The program complements its broader litigation, advocacy, and education work.
