Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia (GSCV) operates as a regional council within the civic and social organizations landscape, coordinating youth programs under the Girl Scouts framework. Based in Richmond, Virginia, it serves more than 9,000 girls and 5,700 adults across 30 counties and several cities, including Emporia, Richmond, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Fredericksburg, and Petersburg. The council structures its programming into six age levels, allowing girls to progress in skills and activities together. Participation can be facilitated through placements in churches, schools, housing communities, or independent arrangements. In late 2024, the organization expanded its physical footprint by acquiring the former BB&T building in Richmond.
