The Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is a regional nonprofit organization that supports leadership development for girls through girl-led experiences and skill-building opportunities. It serves nearly 8,000 girls each year across 61 counties in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, and Maryland, with its council office, the Girl Scout and Volunteer Resource Center, located in Charleston, West Virginia. Its mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. The council serves girls and their families, as well as volunteers who support programs and community partnerships across the region. In May 2026, it launched the summer Get Ready program and offered free memberships to Head Start families, reflecting efforts to broaden access to its activities.
