Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service (GU Politics) is a unit within the McCourt School of Public Policy that began in fall 2015. It seeks to reconnect young people with politics as a path to public service by giving students access to prominent political figures and public servants. It also operates as an incubator of political thought, encouraging students to drive conversations and develop ideas aimed at improving the functioning of the political system and preparing future leaders. The institute is based in Washington, DC, operating within Georgetown University's higher education ecosystem and is staffed as a small organization. In July 2024, Bounceback LLC formed a partnership with Georgetown to deepen collaboration with faculty and national partners to strengthen its educator wellbeing approach. More information about GU Politics can be found on its website, politics.georgetown.edu.
