Gateway to Learning is a nonprofit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1974, it serves adults with intellectual challenges and developmental disabilities by providing lifelong learning opportunities that support inclusion at home, at work, and in the broader community. The organization focuses on educating and training participants to increase economic productivity, to participate meaningfully in the program and community, and to achieve the highest possible levels of self-sufficiency and self-worth. The board of directors meets monthly to guide strategic decisions, events, and fundraising, and board members are expected to contribute time and networks to the organization. In November 2025, Gateway announced a partnership with the Alexander S. Pissios Family Foundation to support adults with neurodiversity or other IDD in pursuing meaningful employment.
