GardenGenetics (G2) is a commercial plant breeding company developing new varieties of both ornamental and edible plants. G2 works in a wide range of plant species, and across a broad range of market segments. These include both seed- and vegetatively-propagated annuals and perennials; flowering trees and shrubs; vegetables; and culinary herbs. G2 also provides contract research services to the horticultural and natural products industries. These include contract plant breeding; de novo product development; exploratory or rough breeding; and confidential greenhouse and field comparative trials. We also provide contract horticultural research services, many of which take advantage of G2's sophisticated research greenhouse facilities. Our 20,000 SF of research greenhouse space is located on 20+ acres of rural farmland in central PA, about 8 miles from the campus of Penn State University, and 3 miles from the University Park (PA) airport (code SCE). We have been in full operation within our own research facilities since July, 2008. G2 has a rapidly filling pipeline of unique customer-stopping plant varieties. We are actively seeking opportunities to add additional prospective licensees.
