Frontiers of Freedom Institute is a small policy-focused educational organization based in Ashburn, Virginia. Founded in 1994 by U.S. Senator Malcolm Wallop, the think tank pursues conservative public policy anchored in principles such as individual liberty, a strong national defense, limited government, free enterprise, and traditional American values rooted in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Its work targets policymakers and public audiences in national policy debates, providing perspectives aligned with those principles. In 2021 the organization launched the Veterans Choice Initiative, a grassroots effort to support disabled veterans by protecting their right to choose how to navigate the Veterans Administration and obtain disability benefits. The institute operates with a small staff, reflecting its role as a specialized policy organization.
