Freedom Tree Farms is a small, family-owned farming operation based in Hillsboro, Tennessee. Founded in 1984, it produces a range of fruit trees and berry plants in both bareroot and container form, growing, budding, and grafting its stock on more than 550 acres of Tennessee farmland. The company also works with rare patented varieties, serving as registered growers, budders, and grafters, and it collaborates with universities on breeder trials and initial market introductions.

Its customers include large retail corporations, fruit growers, top garden centers, and wholesale nurseries seeking a turn-key program to stock stores across multiple zones. In 2023, Freedom Tree Farms was acquired by Chenmark Holdings Inc., a transaction described as aimed at preserving the organization’s legacy and positioning it for long-term success.
