The Fox River Water Reclamation District is a utilities organization based in South Elgin, Illinois. It owns and operates three water reclamation facilities—the Albin D. Pagorski WRF, the North WRF, and the West WRF—and runs a network of 12 remote pump stations in its collection system. These facilities provide wastewater treatment services to more than 200,000 people across several communities in Kane and Cook Counties, including Elgin, South Elgin, West Dundee, portions of Sleepy Hollow, Streamwood, Hoffman Estates, and unincorporated St. Charles Township. As a regional utility, FRWRD operates within the water reclamation and wastewater treatment sector. In 2024, Cameron Colby, a licensed professional engineer, was appointed as technical services director, signaling a leadership change within the district.
