Four Bands Community Fund is a nonprofit organization that operates as a community loan fund—a CDFI—focused on capitalizing Native American–owned businesses on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. Founded in 2000 and based in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, it started with $500 loans and has since disbursed more than $10 million. The organization serves Native American entrepreneurs and local producers on the reservation, helping to improve access to capital and stimulate community economic development. It has expanded its mission beyond lending to include programs aimed at strengthening local food systems and increasing market access for Cheyenne River producers. In 2023 it launched the VITA program to reduce predatory lending and assist residents in building assets and wealth.
