The Fort Pierce Police Department is a municipal law enforcement agency serving Fort Pierce, Florida. Its Neighborhood Policing Bureau is the uniformed patrol component of the city, organized into nine geographic zones that cover the 17.4-square-mile area and function as the primary first responder to emergencies, carry out preliminary investigations, and provide basic patrol services to residents. The bureau is the department’s largest division and operates from the Willie B. Ellis Substation; in a recent restructuring, patrol operations were consolidated under a single captain with a secretary, four lieutenants, eight sergeants, and a sizable cadre of officers. The department engages in community outreach, as evidenced by participation in Unity in Its Community. In July 2025 the Fort Pierce Police Department attended the 7th Annual Unity in Its Community event held at the Fort Pierce Recreation Center.
