Foodshed Investors exists to:

Increase the Supply of Good, Local & Food

We try to accomplish this by:

 - enabling mission-driven, for- and non-profit entrepreneurs in creating healthy, nutritious, and accessible food;
 - building robust regional food systems, particularly for the benefit of underserved communities;
 - re-invigorating rural economies via sustainable agriculture and quality jobs;
 - making progress toward a stable climate, healthy soils, and humanely treated animals.

We do this by "Investing", not just in the most common, monetary sense, but also using the broader definition:

"devote (one's time, effort, or energy) to a particular undertaking with the expectation of a worthwhile result."
