Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations formed by 23 state agricultural promotion agencies in the Midwest and Northeast. They operate in international trade and development, supporting U.S. suppliers in increasing overseas sales of food and agricultural products. The groups administer several programs funded in part by the Market Access Program through the USDA and offer services designed to help exporters begin or expand international markets. Based in Chicago, Illinois, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the organizations collaborate as two of four nationwide State Regional Trade Groups to promote high-value U.S. food and agricultural products through a strategic alliance. Their recent activities include partnerships and events aimed at connecting international buyers with U.S. suppliers across multiple food sectors.
