In 2015, a band of artists, craftspeople, and lovers of life brought their wandering imaginations and lofty aspirations to a magical piece of land in Carmel, California. Out in the sunny valley, we cultivated grapevines and gardens to craft beautiful wines and experiences to delight the senses. We named this place Folktale Winery & Vineyards. 

Nestled into the valley just 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, Folktale is conveniently accessible from the Monterey Airport and the Monterey Peninsula. An easy drive from Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area, Folktale is a one-of-a-kind winery destination. Situated on 15 acres of organically farmed vineyards and gardens, along the Carmel River, we offer numerous venue settings with which to delight you and your guests. Whether your group is small and intimate, desiring a large feast and celebration, or a memorable corporate retreat, our aim is to create an experience tailored to your group. Each of our venue locations has its own unique feel and narrative.
