Florida Technical College is a higher education institution founded in 1982 to provide post-secondary training in specialized business fields. Its main campus is in Orlando, with Lakeland and DeLand established early on, and additional sites in Kissimmee, Pembroke Pines, and Tampa opened in 2011, followed by Cutler Bay in 2015. After 35 years, FTC merged with NUC University, incorporating The Digital Animation & Visual Effects School (DAVE) in Florida and the IBC Technical Division in Puerto Rico, creating a network of 15 campuses and about 20,000 students across Florida and Puerto Rico. The merged organization serves students pursuing career-oriented education in business and related fields, offering flexible scheduling, career assistance, and financial aid to eligible students, and it remains fully accredited. In 2025, FTC launched new trade programs to address in-demand trades, expanding its practical, career-focused offerings.
