The Florida Apartment Association is a mid-sized nonprofit federation of associations that represents and advocates for Florida's multifamily rental housing sector. Founded in 1971, it is based in Maitland, Florida, and focuses on maintaining high property management standards, resident satisfaction, and safety. The association brings together a broad spectrum of properties, from luxury to affordable and urban to rural, including large management companies, small owners, assisted living facilities, and corporate housing. Participation is voluntary, and the organization does not represent condominiums, hotels, motels, or other transient housing. Volunteer leaders meet three times a year to discuss industry issues, and in 2025 FAA partnered with Swift Bunny to develop a confidential benchmark survey for the multifamily market.
