Flash Foods, LLC is a regional grocery retailer with roots dating back to 1952 when J.C. Jones opened a small store in Folkston, Georgia. The chain expanded across Southeastern Georgia and established a wholesale distribution center in Alma to supply its stores, reaching about 25 locations by the mid-1970s. Growth continued in the 1980s with the acquisition of Kwickie Food Stores and into fuel distribution through Frazier Oil, which later merged with Fuel South. The business remained family-owned through the mid-1990s, after which leadership was passed to James C. Jones, III and Patrick C. Jones, who helped formalize operations, including a loyalty program and a proprietary pricing and inventory-management system.
