First Stage Children's Theater is a performing arts organization located at 325 West Walnut Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53212. It is recognized as a national leader in the Theater for Young Audiences field and employs 51-200 people, operating in the production of plays for family audiences and in theater training programs for youth, along with education initiatives for schools and the community. Since 1987, First Stage has presented more than 200 professional theater productions chosen for artistic excellence, social significance, educational content, and the potential to spark conversations at home and in the classroom, including more than 60 world premieres addressing subjects relevant to today's youth. The organization emphasizes age-appropriate casting and creates and commissions new works reflecting young people's thoughts and ideas.
