Filoli is a historic house and garden estate in Woodside, California, part of the Bay Area’s cultural landscape. The property spans about 654 acres and includes a 54,000-square-foot Georgian revival mansion, 16 acres of English Renaissance gardens, a 6.8-acre Gentleman’s Orchard, and extensive natural lands with six distinct ecosystems and nature trails. It rests on the unceded ancestral lands of the Ramaytush Ohlone and began as a private residence in 1917. Filoli opened to the public in 1975 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is affiliated with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
