Feeding Northeast Florida is a nonprofit organization that rescues high-quality food slated for waste from grocery stores, manufacturers, and farms and converts it into meals for local people in need. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, it serves eight counties and coordinates with more than 160 partner organizations and programs to connect food to families while guiding them to additional services such as job training, childcare, SNAP benefits, medical care, affordable housing, and counseling. Operating as a community food bank within the nonprofit sector, the organization focuses on hunger relief and broader poverty alleviation through its network. In 2018, it distributed more than 14 million meals across its service area, and in 2026 it announced that its president and CEO, Susan King, will retire at the end of the year after nearly seven years of leadership.
