Fay-Penn Economic Development Council's mission is to maintain and increase employment opportunities (jobs) in Fayette County in an effort to improve the quality of life for all of its residents. This mission is met through a comprehensive strategy of specific #economicdevelopment objectives. The organization primarily focuses on the manufacturing sector, in addition to a concentration on workforce issues and infrastructure development.

Our primary objectives are to: 
- Provide superior development services that meet the needs of Fayette County by building local resource capacity and professional capabilities. 
- Generate new commerce by revitalizing commercial areas through new community development, tourism and local economy initiatives. 
- Encourage new investments at existing business sites throughout Fayette County. 
- Support ongoing improvements in workforce development and public education to ensure that Fayette County is a great place to live and work. 
- Develop new community development practices that lead to long-term economic and ecological sustainability and self-reliance.
