Far Fung Places is a small, personal, and ethical travel organization, whose reputation and standards would be impossible for any conventional travel or tour company to equal.

What is Unique About Our Company?
Niche travel. Travel to just-emerging destinations or cultures unchanged by modernization is our hallmark. We seek out places that haven’t been spoiled by mass tourism, where old customs are revered and primitive skills honored. Through our personal contacts, we make every trip a well-balanced program with a wide variety of experiences and an emphasis on comfort and safety.
 
Learning. Our speaker program is the best in the industry. In Bhutan every trip is enhanced with lectures from experts like renowned author Kunzang Choden (Tales of the Yeti).
 
Giving Back. Every year we invest a percentage of our profits to needy families in eastern Bhutan, often headed by single mothers, and to the Bhutan Foundation, which serves a variety of humanitarian projects throughout the country. Far Fung Places purchase crafts from artisans directly so that creativity and the arts can continue to flourish. 

Research. Every program has been thoroughly researched, which means we’ve traveled to that destination and have not relied on input from ground operators.
