Family Service & Guidance Center (FSGC) is a Topeka-based mental health organization focused on the needs of children and families. It provides a broad mix of direct clinical services, prevention education and outreach to address anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health issues affecting youth across 38 Kansas counties. Its offerings include outpatient therapy, child and adolescent psychiatry, an anxiety treatment program, a therapeutic preschool for 2- to 6-year-olds with severe emotional and behavioral problems, and around-the-clock crisis services. The center operates on a centralized campus with three buildings and supports nearly 12,000 children and teens and their families each year. Founded in 1904 to assist Topeka flood victims, FSGC has evolved into a recognized leader in children's mental health. Based on its Topeka campus, the organization employs about 260 staff and, in April 2024, partnered with Architect One, Inc. to craft a master plan addressing facility needs.
