Express Metrix, a software development company based in the United States, has positioned itself in the IT and software asset management space. Its flagship product, Express Software Manager, integrates hardware and software inventory with application metering and purchasing data to help organizations manage assets more accurately, reduce license compliance risk, and curb IT spending. The company's focus is on serving organizations whose asset reporting needs exceed what enterprise-oriented frameworks or more basic inventory tools can deliver, signaling a niche emphasis on precise, comprehensive asset management.
Founded more than a decade ago and widely recognized as a veteran in its field, Express Metrix operates within a market that includes a range of similar software asset management and IT service solutions. A notable development in the company’s history is its acquisition by Cherwell Software, which expanded its IT asset management capabilities and added a Seattle, Washington presence, reflecting an extension of its geographic footprint and product reach.
