Based in Evanston, Illinois, the Evanston Community Foundation is a philanthropic organization focused on strengthening the entire community by building, coordinating, and sharing resources and knowledge. Founded in 1986, it aims to serve all of Evanston rather than any single group or issue, acting as a convener, thought partner, and facilitator to broaden impact. In its field of philanthropic fundraising services, the foundation connects donors, nonprofits, and local initiatives to advance inclusive and just outcomes.

Recent activity includes a partnership with YWCA Evanston/North Shore, District 65 and Evanston Cradle to Career to launch the Savings for Success Initiative, providing a $50 contribution to families whose District 65 kindergartner or sixth-grader opens an Illinois Bright Directions savings account. The initiative illustrates the foundation's collaborative approach with local institutions to address education and family financial stability.
