ETHOS' Goal is to support the best science curriculum and instruction available. ETHOS provides science kit management including science kit refurbishment. ETHOS is an acronym for Encouraging Technology & Hands On Science Beliefs: * Adequate knowledge of science and technology is critical to the continued success of each state, our nation, and each future citizen. * Hands On Science provides a mix of methods and materials that yields excellent science achievement and also strengthens mathematics and language arts skills. * In order to maximize the effectiveness of a Hands On Science and technology curriculum many elementary teachers will benefit from professional development in science and technology. * In order to present all required subject material during a school year an elementary teacher must use some instructional activities to address two or more subjects. * Elementary teachers would give more time to science and technology if they had better preparation and materials and could achieve basic curricular goals in mathematics and language arts at the same time.
