Energy Networks Association (ENA) is the industry body for the UK's electricity networks, with membership that includes every major electricity network operator. The networks are central to the energy transition, aiming to provide safe, reliable, and secure power for homes and businesses. The sector employs more than 26,000 people in the UK, including about 1,500 apprentices, and is set to invest roughly £33 billion in electricity grids over the coming years. ENA represents these networks and coordinates industry-wide efforts to support delivery and reform in the sector. Based in London, England, ENA operates within the utilities sector and serves major network operators and other industry stakeholders. A notable recent development is a partnership to develop a common interface aligned with OpenADR 3.1 to enable interoperable communication across electricity systems.
