In 1973 Francesco Enea founded a company specializing in garden decorations. Later in 1993, Enzo Enea took over his father's business and gradually built it into the leading company in landscape architecture. Today, Enea is established in Switzerland and across the globe. 

With our landscape architecture we create value for generations. In our design, we promote the fusion of outdoor and indoor spaces, the creative intertwining of the spirit of the architecture with its surroundings. We call our philosophy Outside In.

Our award-winning firm is recognized for its ability to create complex designs and installations of private gardens and terraces, hotels, and resorts, as well as corporate gardens, public parks, and golf courses. We operate in all climate zones. The unique strength of the company lies in its capacity to offer the client a complete in-house service package, including the total realization and implementation of a project. 

Besides our landscape architecture and construction teams, Enea comprises also an interior design studio, a showroom for outdoor furniture, a concept store for indoor furniture and a carpenter’s workshop. 

The firm ‘s 240 employees come from 25 countries and bring to Enea a global perspective in landscape architecture and design. Apart from the Swiss headquarter in Rapperswil-Jona, Enea has affiliates in New York, Miami, Milan, and Zurich.

The project close to the heart of Enzo Enea, CEO, is the world's unique Enea Tree Museum in Rapperswil-Jona. More than 50 trees saved from felling are on display and visitors are raised in awareness of the human interaction with nature. The open-air museum, created in 2010, shows how landscape, botany, architecture, art, and design can be connected in an integrative manner.
