Encyclis, based in London, England, provides energy-from-waste services that convert residual waste into low-carbon electricity, heat, and reusable materials. Formerly Covanta Europe, its energy-recovery facilities repurpose waste that would otherwise be landfilled, supporting a circular economy. With more than three decades of experience and a network of partnerships, Encyclis operates three facilities across the UK and Ireland that run around the clock, diverting over 1.4 million tonnes of waste from landfill each year and generating enough power for about 300,000 homes.

The company is expanding its footprint in the region, with two additional facilities under construction. In early 2026, planning permission was granted for a full-scale carbon capture plant at its Rookery South ERF in Bedfordshire, marking a move toward integrating carbon capture with energy recovery.
