Emeril Lagasse Foundation is a New Orleans-based non-profit organization established in 2002 by Chef Emeril Lagasse and his wife, Alden. Operating as a 501(c)(3) public charity, it focuses on creating opportunities for youth through culinary, nutrition, and arts education, with an emphasis on life skills development. The foundation supports programs nationwide through Community Grants and runs Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen as its signature initiative, along with the Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund that targets culinary arts education and human services for Latino youth. Its work centers on mentoring and enabling young people to reach their potential by engaging them in hands-on learning about food, nutrition, and creative expression. In recent years, the foundation has expanded its national partnerships and activities related to its education programs, including collaborations with schools to implement its culinary garden and teaching kitchen concept.
