The Elk River Treatment Program (ERTP) is a residential treatment facility for youths aged 12 to 18 that addresses behavioral health, mental health, and substance use challenges. It provides diagnostic, assessment, and psychological treatment in a supervised environment and runs a year-round, AdvancED/SACS-accredited education program. A professional treatment team, led by a child and adolescent forensic psychiatrist, develops individualized plans with input from licensed mental health professionals, nursing staff, and certified teachers, supporting clients as they work to address underlying issues contributing to problematic behaviors. ERTP operates as a program of Pinnacle Behavioral Health, Inc., based in Huntsville, Alabama, and is licensed by the Alabama Department of Youth with all Pinnacle programs accredited in Behavioral Health Care by The Joint Commission.
