Elijah Cummings Youth Program (ECYP) operates as a high school fellowship in the civic and social sector, focused on strengthening ties between Baltimore’s African American and Jewish communities. Its program combines a two-year leadership track, a summer education experience in Israel, and ongoing community service, collectively aiming to develop leadership and cross-community understanding among participating students. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, ECYP serves a youth-facing audience and collaborates with organizations such as The Baltimore Jewish Council and The Associated to support its activities. The organization positions itself within the civic and social realm by facilitating structured, cross-cultural programs for high school students and offering a tangible platform for community engagement. A recent development noted is a partnership announced in early 2025 involving The Associated and ECYP, alongside other partners, to launch a new Rekindle Fellowship in Baltimore.
