The East Coast Conference (ECC) is an NCAA Division II college athletics conference within the higher education sector, based in Colonia, New Jersey, with a workforce of 11 to 50 employees. The conference emphasizes the total person concept for student‑athletes, striving to advance academic achievement, athletic competition, and positive character traits through its focus on scholarship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and citizenship. The ECC traces its history to 1989 when it was founded as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference and re-branded to the East Coast Conference in July 2006. In recent activity, the ECC organized the 2026 ECC Esports Championship virtually on April 11 in collaboration with Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG) and EsportsU, and it hosted Mental Health Awareness Week in early April 2026. More information about the conference and its governance is available on its website, eccsports.org.
