Dryhootch USA, Inc. is a Milwaukee-based nonprofit organization that serves veterans and their families by providing a stable, substance-free environment where they can gather and support each other as they transition after military service. The organization operates a community-focused coffee house, which serves as a social hub open to the public while offering on-site peer-to-peer counseling on the second floor for veterans seeking group or individual support. Founded in 2008 by Vietnam veterans, Dryhootch aims to help Iraq and Afghanistan veterans avoid the challenges associated with PTSD and substance use by fostering informal connections and access to resources within a comfortable setting. With a focus on veterans and their families, the group addresses social reintegration and emotional well-being through accessible, peer-driven services in a supportive community space.
