We are a Christ-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to bringing the hope of the Gospel to the hurting, hungry, and homeless in our community. For more than four decades, the Lord has used our programs and services to rescue and transform lives for His glory. Downtown Rescue Mission has been serving North Alabama and the Tennessee Valley for 50 years. We work to change the lives of homeless and hurting men, women, and children by providing free meals and shelter, recovery services, transitional support, and community outreach. Our purpose is to serve as a lighthouse in our community for the poor and homeless in order to meet their physical and spiritual needs through the life-changing power of Christ. When you shop at the Downtown Rescue Mission Bargain Center, you're helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless in Huntsville and Northern Alabama. All proceeds from the store go directly back to the mission to provide food, clothing, shelter and Christian education to the poor and needy in our area.
