Double Robotics designs the telepresence robot Double to give remote workers a physical presence in the office. The device combines a video call on an iPad with a mobile base, allowing remote employees to move through the workspace and interact with colleagues as if they were onsite.

Operating in the computer hardware manufacturing industry, the company targets telecommuters and distributed teams seeking to maintain connections without synchronous meetings. Based in Burlingame, California, the organization is a small team and has released updates such as Double 3 in 2019, which expanded the robot's sensor array.
