Founded in 1960, Dot Foods is North America’s largest less-than-truckload consolidator in the food industry and one of the largest private, family-owned businesses in the U.S. Robert and Dorothy Tracy built the company from the ground up in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, a small Midwestern town that’s still home to our corporate headquarters today. What began as a family operation has grown into something much bigger: a business that now delivers to all 50 states and more than 50 countries, employs more than 4,000 people, and has never had a single layoff in its entire history. Our footprint has grown with us. In addition to our headquarters in Mt. Sterling, we operate 13 distribution centers across the U.S., a corporate sales office in St. Louis, Missouri, and two locations in Canada. But no matter how much we’ve grown, the same promise shows up in everything we do: Trusted Values. Innovative Solutions. Shared Growth.® That’s not just a tagline. It’s the foundation Robert and Dorothy built this business on, and it’s just as true today as it was more than 60 years ago. Our values shape the way we work, the way we show up for our partners, and the way we think about what it means to succeed. For us, success isn’t one-sided. We don’t win unless our people are thriving and our partners are growing alongside us. That’s what Dot is built on. Strong relationships, a long-term mindset, and a genuine commitment to the people and partners who make this business what it is, every single day.
