District 7 Toastmasters is the Portland-based regional arm of Toastmasters International, a global nonprofit focused on developing effective communicators and leaders. The district has operated since 1940 and is one of Toastmasters International’s 123 districts worldwide. It covers a broad geographic area that includes most of Oregon and parts of Southern Washington and Northern California, including specific counties in each state (Klickitat, Skamania, Clark, Wahkiakum, and Cowlitz in Washington; Del Norte and Modoc in California; and all Oregon counties except Baker, Grant, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla, Union, and Wallowa in the eastern region). To organize activities and governance, District 7 is divided into eight divisions, including Southern, Central, Capitol, Columbia Gorge, Willamette, Downtown Portland, Northern, and Sunset.
