DesignMedix develops impactful disease cures that overcome drug resistance. The Company has an innovative approach that takes advantage of existing drugs used safely and effectively for years before resistance arose. Modifying those drugs with strategic designs to overcome drug resistance results in cost-effective, novel drugs. The initial project, a cure for drug-resistant malaria, works on all human malaria samples tested, no matter how resistant to other drugs.  The drug is being formulated for Phase I human trials, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease. The DesignMedix product pipeline includes additional discovery stage novel, antimicrobial treatments.
