DCIIA is a United States-based nonprofit trade association in the financial services industry, founded in 2010 to advance retirement security for American workers. It fosters dialogue among leaders in the defined contribution community, including investment managers, consultants and advisors, law firms, record keepers, insurance companies, data providers, and other participants in defined contribution plans. The organization has more than 175 member organizations, and over 75 organizations participate in the DCIIA Plan Sponsor Institute, which provides a forum for education in a plan sponsor-only environment. DCIIA conducts proprietary research and collaborates on retirement topics through the DCIIA Retirement Research Center, which includes more than 25 member organizations. The association is involved in industry recognition, serving as the association partner of the Journal of Retirement and co-sponsoring the Excellence & Innovation Awards with Pensions & Investments. It has a staff of 11 to 50 employees and maintains a website at dciia.org.
