De Novo Center for Justice and Healing is a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based nonprofit in the legal services field that provides free civil legal assistance and affordable psychological counseling to low-income people. Its work addresses basic needs related to safety, income, health, and housing for clients and their children affected by poverty and violence. The organization relies on a large network of volunteers, including attorneys, social workers, psychologists, paralegals, interpreters, and interns, to deliver cost-effective, holistic services. A core focus is offering legal help in housing and homelessness prevention, child custody and domestic violence, immigrant and refugee rights, and disability benefits, complemented by mental health support and case management. In February 2024, the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce partnered with De Novo to provide a free monthly Virtual Immigration Legal Screening Clinic.
