Dave's Guitar Shop is a mid-sized, independently owned retailer focused on guitars and related gear. Based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, its origins trace back to founder Dave Rogers, who began by buying, trading, and selling instruments from home before opening a storefront in 1982. The shop is one of the largest independently owned guitar stores in the Midwest and continues to grow. It represents a broad range of brands, including Fender, Gibson, PRS, Martin, Taylor and many others, with instruments priced from about $100 to $35,000 to accommodate players at different levels.

Its customers include individual musicians and hobbyists seeking a broad selection and options across price points. The company has expanded beyond La Crosse, opening a second location in Milwaukee in 2017 and a third in Fitchburg in June 2018, with the Milwaukee site relocating within the city from Bay View to Walker’s Point in 2019.
