The Datzyk Montessori School was established in 1963 by Ruth Datzyk, and has been in operation ever since. It is one of the oldest continuous Montessori programs in the northeast. Research has shown that the best predictor of future success is a sense of self-esteem. Montessori programs, based on self-directed, non-competitive activities, help children develop good self-images, and the confidence to face challenges and change with optimism. The Datzyk Montessori School accepts students from the ages of 24 months through Grade 1 (Pre-school, Kindergarten and Grade 1). We are fully licensed and accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Academic Schools. Datzyk Montessori School offers classes during the regular school year from September through June, as well as a 6-week summer program from June through July.
