Dance Umbrella is a London-based festival in the performing arts with roots dating to 1978. Each year it showcases international dance across a network of venues in London and online, featuring more than a thousand artists from 45 countries. The organization also commissions new work and co-produces with partners in the UK and abroad, while offering year-round learning initiatives for artists and audiences.

Since 2020 the festival has expanded its reach through online programming, including curated dance films and artist encounters. Based in London, it positions itself as a platform for emerging and diverse choreographic talent within the city’s international arts scene, led by Artistic Director/CEO Freddie Opoku-Addaie since 2021. The organization operates as a small-to-mid-sized team and maintains partnerships such as its Visiting Artist Programme to bring international performers to the city and broaden its venue footprint, from major stages to unconventional spaces.
