Dance Affiliates is a Philadelphia-based presenter in the performing arts, established in 1979 and originally named American Ballet Competition. Since 1983 it has operated as a dance-only presenter, curating and presenting contemporary dance through its flagship Dance Celebration program, noted as Philadelphia’s longest-running series in this field. The organization has produced and hosted hundreds of companies and performances, creating opportunities for interaction with visiting dance artists through master classes, residencies, collaborations, symposiums, screenings, and educational programs for students. Its mission includes commissioning original works and supporting a range of outreach activities that have engaged tens of thousands of students and aspiring dancers across the region.
